Big Joe Forklifts Releases the RPL44 Rider Pallet Truck & PTT60 Pedestrian Tow Tractor

Both Vehicles Offer Clean, Efficient Li-ion Power and Unique Features for Moving Pallets and Carts

Big Joe Forklifts has added two new material handling vehicles to its lineup that combine compact size, clean Li-ion power, and several unique new features.

Big Joe Forklift New Models

RPL44 Rider Pallet Truck

The Big Joe RPL44 Rider Pallet Jack can carry up to 4,400 lbs at speeds of up to 5 mph. Propelled by a 24v AC motor powered by a 205 ah lithium-ion battery with an onboard 120v AC charger–designed for either opportunity or standard charging–the innovative RPL44 offers hours of reliable, consistent-power operation.

The RPL44’s compact size allows it to navigate congested work areas better than other, larger pallet trucks. The vehicle’s low-profile forks are designed for easier pallet entry and exit, and its split load-wheel configuration improves maneuverability while reducing heat and friction that shortens wheel life. The RPL44 is available in either 22 in. or 27 in. fork widths and 36 in. or 48 in. fork lengths.

The RPL44 is also an operator’s dream. It features a large standard operator’s platform with a microcellular floor mat for comfortable standing during long shifts and a control head and grab bar that are ergonomically designed for easy travel, lift, lower, and horn functions. Electronic power steering makes turning a breeze. Optional 240 v AC charger for more-rapid charging available.

Key Features:

  • AC Drive motor with electronic power steering
  • 24-Volt travel controller; infinitely variable up to 5mph
  • Ergonomic controls: easy access reversing switch, horn, and dual “butterfly”
  • Intuitive thumb controls support safe operation
  • Battery discharge indicator
  • Low profile operator platform with rubber floor mats

PTT60 Pedestrian Tow Tractor

The strain of manually pulling material handling carts becomes a thing of the past with the new Big Joe PTT60 Pedestrian Tow Tractor.

Powered by a 205 ah Li-ion battery with an onboard 120v AC charger, the PTT60 can pull up to 6,000 lb at a speed of up to 3.1 mph. Its compact size, 24v AC drive, and smooth electronic power steering allow it to maneuver easily in crowded work areas where larger vehicles would have problems getting around. The vehicle features an ergonomically designed control head, a wrap-around hand guard for safety, and dual butterfly travel controls that provide infinitely variable forward and reverse travel.

One of the PTT60’s key features is its hydraulically powered tow-hitch elevating system that accommodates hitch heights from 6.9 in. to 12.4 in. from the floor. The hitch’s standard pin connection integrates with many common types of industrial carts. Optional hitch configurations are available as is a fast 240v AC external charger.

Key Features:

  • 24-Volt travel controller: infinitely variable speeds up to 3.4mph
  • Ergonomic handle with reversing switch, horn, and dual “butterfly”
  • Thumb controls are intuitive and allow for safe, accurate operation
  • Integrated 205AH Lithium battery & 120vac charger
  • Pin style tow hitch
  • Tow coupling height adjustability: 6.9” to 12.4”
  • Battery discharge indicator, hour meter & key switch
